Johanson, Ph.D. discovered Lucy, the “Missing Link,” he chose her name from a song.  Johanson’s friend, musician Freddy Clarke, had composed a song named “Lucy” about a pretty girl, which was repurposed for sound track at the Discovery Channel’s exhibit of Lucy’s famous skeleton in Times Square, NYC in 2009.  Hear the story in this video.
